You didn't think we would let you put all that training to waste did you?
Given the news of the postponement of the London Summer Festival and the fact everyone was locked and loaded ready to go with their team, we thought it would be great for everyone to still get together in their own gyms and take on some Turf Games workouts over the weekend of 18 - 20th September.
We have released the four workouts for you and your team to get stuck in to. The workouts have a similar theme to some workouts that various categories would have done on the TURF at the Summer Festival. We have adapted the exact workouts slightly as not everyone has access to equipment we were going to use over the weekend.
There will be 4 workouts, with the longest having a 25 minute time cap. The 4 workouts are below. All teams will need certain equipment, then depending on whether you are male/female/mixed and Elite/Everyday, will determine weight you will need for various items as well.
Turf Games teams are generally 5 athletes - 5 men, 5 women or mixed is 3M/2F or can be 3F/2M. If you have less than this, say just you and a friend, you can still give these workouts a go - you can drop rep numbers or distance down accordingly if need be.
The order the workouts are written below would be the preferred order to do the workouts, but no problems if you mix up the order.

This is open to anyone, anywhere in the world who wants to get together with their friends, give these workouts a go and join in the Turf Games community fun - London, Dubai, Sydney, Gold Coast, Belfast, New York, LA and beyond. This is going to be a 'fun competition' - there won't be a leaderboard as such and will be free to take part - there is no need to register. We would like people to share their efforts on social media stories/posts with footage of them working out and then their teams times for the above workouts. We will then reshare and spread the community vibes and have some fun with it. Be great to see teams kitted out in their matching outfits or any 'creative' team outfits that will add to the fun of the day.
We have had a few gyms contact saying they will be doing the workouts on Friday - Friday Night Lights! Unreal idea to get the community vibes going.
A Turf Games team has set 'benchmark' scores for each workout to give you something to aim at. We understand the workout layout will vary as gyms are different but if teams can try and layout workouts, weights and also adhere to standards of movements as communicated that would be ideal.
All 4 workouts should be completed within a 2 hour window. You should aim to have around 10-15min break between each workout so you have some recovery time and follow the workouts in the order we they are written. The Virtual Summer Festival will run all weekend on 18 - 20th September.
