WINTER FESTIVAL FAQs

What time does the event start? Gates open at 8am for Athletes and 9.20am to spectators and close at 615pm.  The first round of workouts start at 930am and the heats will finish at 2pm then finals will commence. 

Are spectators allowed?  Yes of course, we would love a huge number of supports to come and watch, cheer on the athletes and enjoy the atmosphere.  Spectators are able to enter the venue at 9.10am.  Spectators can buy their tickets HERE

How do I get to Brunel University?  Brunel University London is located at
Kingston Lane, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8.

TUBE - The closest tube station is Uxbridge, and is a 1 mile walk.

CAR – Entry is via Kingston Lane only.  If you are coming on the M4, Leave the M4 at Junction 4, follow signs to Uxbridge (A408) and Brunel University. Those taking the M25 should join the M4 or M40.  From the A40/M40, At Swakeleys Roundabout take B483 exit to Uxbridge. Follow signs across two mini-roundabouts.

Is there parking? There is plenty of parking at Brunel University.

Can I bring my dog? Dogs are not allowed inside the venue.     

Is it cash or card? Please bring cash as well as card.  There is no cash machine at the venue. Some food and drink vendors will be providing samples free of charge, while others will be selling product.

Can I bring food and drink? Spectators are not allowed to bring food and drink, although 1 bottle of water per person is OK. Athletes can bring in food and water/supplements if they wish.  The End Zone will be filled with food and drink that you can purchase to keep you going throughout the day.

Can I bring in alcohol? No, this is not a licensed venue so alcohol will not be permitted.

Is there a bag drop? There will be no bag drop as such, athletes will be able to leave their bags in the Athlete Zone, or leave with someone.  Bags will not be allowed inside a workout arena.
