WE ARE GOING BACK TO THE BEACH!
We are excited to be back on the Gold Coast for our Summer Festival - this time bigger and better than ever before, and back at our original home in Palm Beach.
The 2026 festival will be held over the weekend of 11-13th September.
LOCATION
Gold Coast Recreation Centre, 1525 Gold Coast Hwy, Palm Beach QLD 4221.
TEAM DIVISIONS + CATEGORIES
This year will see a change in structure of how the weekend will operate and what days teams compete. All teams will only compete on ONE day of the weekend as per below -
There will be 3 Divisions to enter -
- Everyday - compete Saturday 12th
- Elite - compete Saturday 12th
- Intermediate – compete Saturday 12th OR Sunday 13th*
*We have opened up capacity for Intermediate division teams to compete on Saturday or Sunday. Please note, podiums for these teams will be held on Sunday. If you have entered Intermediate Sunday and would like to move to Saturday, please email team@turfgames.com with your team name and what you would like to do. Also, if you have entered everyday and want to move to intermediate Saturday or Sunday please also email team@turfgames.com with your team name and what you would like to do.
All teams will be 6 athletes and must be made up of 3 male + 3 female athletes. Please see information below on division guidance
COMPETING DAYS
SATURDAY - GAME DAY 1 - 12th September
Heats from 7.30am until 5.30pm, teams competing will be
- Everyday and Elite and some Intermediate teams
SUNDAY - GAME DAY 2 - 13th September
Heats from 7.20am until 5.10pm, teams competing will be
- Intermediate Teams only
WORKOUTS + DAY FLOW
For this years Gold Coast Summer Festival, we are aligning with all our other global festivals - teams will compete on one day only. The format and timings will be similar to previous years with the first heats starting at 7.30am and the day ending at 5.30pm. Teams will complete 5 workouts - 4 main workouts in 4 separate arenas, as well as 1 shorter pool workout. Not all athletes will be required to swim in the Everyday and Intermediate divisions. Please see the 'Division Guidelines' page for more info on this. There will also be a workout that will involve some beach running (weather dependant).
The workouts will comprise tests of strength, conditioning, power and teamwork. All weight and movements, like previous years will be scaled based on the 3 divisions - Elite, Intermediate and Everyday. Please see the 'Division Guidelines' page for more info
ENTRY COST
Team entry will be
- $1,100 (2025 cost was $1,080 for the one day competition)
*Team entry is non-refundable unless the event date is changed or the event is cancelled
HOW TO BUY YOUR TEAM
When team entry goes live on Thursday 26th March @ 7pm QLD time, all you need to do is buy your team. It isn't required that you know, or link your other 5 athletes to the team upon purchase - this can be done at a later date. You will need to give your team a name - don't worry - this can be changed up until 4 weeks before the competition.
Can I buy multiple teams? Yes, you will just need to have an email for each team - this can be changed at a later date.
