    ARRIVAL INFORMATION

When you enter the main entrance of the National Indoor Arena you will see the Turf Games Registration desk ahead of you to the left.

All athletes must register their team here and collect their wristbands before entering the main arena and athlete area.

Spectators will also need to show their ticket at this desk in order to obtain a wristband and gain entry.

Once you have your wristband you can move in and out of the venue by simply showing this each time.

    ATHLETE AREAS

When you check in you will be shown the Athlete Area where you can leave your bags during the day and base yourselves when you are not working out.

Please do not take your bags into the workout arenas during the workouts.

You can bring chairs, bean bags etc to sit on if you would like to.

    ARRIVAL TIMES + CHECK IN

Please arrive well before your first workout as there may be queues at check in. When you arrive at the check in desk please state your Division (Elite / Intermediate / Everyday) and your team name. A member of the TG crew will check your team in. You are also to collect your athlete wristbands. One team member is able to collect these for the rest of the team, however, you will need to give these to your team mates before they enter the venue so you will need to wait for them or come back out of the venue to meet them so they can then enter. You can not enter the venue without a wristband on.

    TEAM NAMES

You can edit your team name on Team Aretas up until August 6th. After this point the facility to do this will be locked as we will be producing the heat times. After this date if you need to make any changes you will need to email caroline@turfgames.com and we may be able to assist you depending on how close to the event it is.

    OTHER FAQs

    SCORING

On each station in the arenas, the judge will have the scoresheet where your teams score will be written. At the end of your workout on that station, you need to check that the score written next to your team name is accurate and sign the scoresheet - this is then final and will be uploaded to our live leaderboard.

We do advise that you check the live leaderboard on Team Aretas throughout the day to ensure your score has been uploaded correctly. If it hasn't please make your way to the Master Judge in the appropriate arena to query.

Please note, until ALL teams in your category (i.e. mixed teams) have completed the workout, your points are going to fluctuate.

ATHLETE WELFARE / RECOVERY / WARM UP

There is an athlete warm up area with equipment for you to use to prepare for your workouts. Any equipment that is used must be put back once finished - please do not leave loaded barbells lying around. Please only use the warm up area 20 to 30 minutes before your heat to ensure there is room for all athletes to utilise it.

Over the weekend we will have trained first aid staff in attendance. We know how hard some of you work out and compete, so please do what you can to prepare and recover for the big day.

Please stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids on the day. There will be plenty of water points around the venue - both to fill up your water bottle.

We want to make sure everyone has a super enjoyable day so if you have any concerns or injuries please speak to your judge or one of the TG staff. If you are feeling light headed or unwell please let someone know as soon as possible so we can ensure you get recovered and can enjoy the day.

    COMPETING RULES

Please respect the judges. The majority of judges have given up there time to come along and make sure the event runs smoothly. We are determined to make this an incredible day for everyone involved. Should you have any concerns about the workouts, judging etc on the day, please speak to your judge or Master Judge in a calm and respectful way.

Please listen out for any directions, instructions or timings on the day. We will provide you where and when you need to be somewhere so please do adhere to the schedule. If you take any water bottles etc into a workout arena, please take it out at the end. Also, please place any rubbish in the bins provided.

We are passionate about making the Turf Games a high standard, competitive but fun event.
