The Turf Games UK Winter Festival is back!
We are excited to be hosting the 2025 UK Winter Festival at the home of the Winter Turf Games - Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. This venue will allow all athletes and spectators to enjoy the weekend in a state of the art facility - perfect for our Winter Festival, overlooking the private jet runway of Farnborough airport.
Team entry will go live Friday 27th September at 9am UK time.

DATE - Saturday 15th (Elite + Everyday teams) + Sunday 16th (Intermediate teams) February 2025
LOCATION - Farnborough International Exhibition Center, Gate F, GU14 6TQ
TIMINGS - Athlete + Spectator arrival from 8.00 until 6pm Sunday and 8am until 5.45pm Sunday. First heats 9.00am each day. Teams will compete across the day. If your first heat is 9.00 your last heat will be approximately 3.15pm. Podiums at 5.45 each day
TEAM ENTRY
All teams will be Mixed teams of 6 athletes - 3 females + 3 males per team.
We will have divisions of
- Everyday
- Intermediate
- Elite

Team entry will go live Friday 27th September at 9am UK time. This will be via the Team Aretas website. When you purchase the team, you do not need to know your 6 athletes or link them when purchasing the team. However, this will need to be done in the months leading into the event.
Team Entry will be £550 for a team of 6.
WHICH DIVISION SHOULD WE ENTER?
Please ensure you read both the tables and also the information in the link below. This will provide all the information and guidance around each division.
MOVEMENT STANDARDS
Please see below the movement standard tables. These are not comprehensive of all movements that may come up in the competition. The weights and movements listed below are assuming you can perform 5-8 reps at that weight - they are not your 1 rep max lifts.
The dumbbell movements done in the past include - squats, shoulder to overhead, hang clean and press, alternating dumbbell snatch or similar. Please note there will NOT be, in any division - muscle ups, HSPU, handstand walks, butterfly or kipping pull ups.
AKBS = American kettlebell swings / RKBS = Russian kettlebell swings
TTB = Toes to bar / STOH = Shoulder to Overhead.
Other movements that may be in the competition are 2,3 or 4 person worms, sled pushes. Intermediate athletes should be able to perform 3-5 jumping pull ups and Elite athletes 4-6 strict pull ups.
