FITC #5 - WORCESTER BLUEPRINT TRAINING - ATHLETE INFO

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the 2022 Under Armour Turf Games Fittest in the City Pairs COMBINE @ Blueprint Training, Worcester on 28th May

LOCATION

Blueprint Training, 14C Weir Ln, Worcester WR2 4AY, United Kingdom

Please do not arrive before 11.45am.  When you arrive you will need to head to athlete check-in, check your pair in then you can put your bags in the athlete warm up area.

  

HEAT TIMES + ARRIVAL INFO

Please ensure both athletes are linked to your pairs as soon as possible.

Please see below link for your heat times.  Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before your heat start time.  There will be a warm up area prior to you start.

When you arrive, you will need to check your team in at the registration desk.  We will have a photographer taking images across the day which we will share after the event.

WORKOUTS

Athletes will compete across 4 x 10min workouts with a 6 min break between each workout.  For example, your heat start time is 12.30pm, your workouts will be 12.30pm, 12.46pm, 13.02pm, 13.18pm, finishing at 13.28pm.

Workouts will go LIVE! on Sunday 22nd May @ 5pm

WHAT YOU CAN/CAN'T WEAR 

In terms of what you can and can't wear when working out.  

  • Athletes CAN wear - knee and elbow supports, weightlifting belts, chalk, lifting shoes, wrist straps, palm grips
  • Athletes CAN'T wear - Anything that attaches to a bar to aid grip or strength (except palm grips for TTB). Gloves cannot be worn on any workout.
  • From a foot wear perspective, the workouts will be a mix of tests with some outdoor running so if you like - please bring running shoes, lifting shoes, training shoes.

PRIZES

The winning pair from each of the Open Mixed + Elite Mixed, will qualify for the end of year finals event to be held on 3rd December at Southern Quarter in Salisbury

If you are bringing spectators, please have them register below.

Spectators are encouraged and can come free of charge.  

SCORING

Scoring throughout the day will be via a 'Rank' based system i.e. lowest points wins.  So if you come 1st in a workout you will get 1 point, 20th will get 20 points. 

If for any reason teams are tied on points after the heats, the tie will be broken by a count back system where the team with the highest number of 'better finishers' in the events, will finish higher. 

BROKEN EQUIPMENT DURING A WORKOUT

During a workout, if a piece of equipment a team is using breaks - i.e. ski erg/row erg etc - the team will have the option to use the replacement equipment if available and continue on with the workout.  The score will be adjusted in a fair way at the end of the workout.
